Can't udate BIOS/UEFI on Wyse 5060

Question

We just got a Wyse 5060 to test as a potential replacement for our older thin clients. I downloaded the latest USB Imaging tool that was compatible with my TC (v4.1) and created a USB boot drive, using one of the USB drive listed on the compatibility list.

The drive boots, but when the imaging tool loads, it tells me that the BIOS image is for the wrong architecture. I have a 64-bit TC and selected the 64-bit Win10 BIOS image from the zip file.

So why am I getting this error message?

Are you trying to update BIOS or the image/firmware on the device?

The USB imaging tool is for updating the OS. If you get a security key mismatch it means that you are trying to use a different OS than was purchased with the device.

I would suggest putting in the service tag at the support site to validate the OS it shipped with.

Easy one first - I'm aware that the 5060 is no longer sold or supported; that's why I'm here in the forums rather than contacting support. My company likes to buy things on the used market, so I got what I got.

According to everything I've seen, the USB imaging tool is for both OS and BIOS. I've been following it's documentation to flash the BIOS, and I don't get a security key mismatch, I get an architecture mismatch. There is currently no OS installed on the 5060, which is how we want it. We PXE boot a Linux install.

Hopefully that clarifies things, and I'd still appreciate any help I can get to flash this thing.

Yes, that's it indeed.  I just don't know what's causing the architecture mismatch.
