C10LE thin client chrome developer tools touch cursor not appearing

I am using a Wyse C10LE thin client to connect to a Windows 7 VM. When I use Chrome developer tools to view a site in mobile device mode the cursor should change from an arrow to a fuzzy grey dot to indicate touch events but the cursor just disappears when I enter the mobile browser area. Everything works fine when connecting to the same VM with RDP from a laptop or another PC. It's only a problem when connecting through the Wyse thin client.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any resolution?
