WDM Questions - New User

WDM Questions - New User

Hello,

As a preface I would like to say that I am extremely new to the Wyse world. This is the first time I have ever worked with any Wyse equipment or devices, and I am struggling to assimilate as much knowledge as I can. That being stated - here is my problem(s).

I have installed WDM, version 4.9.1. When I start the software I am immediately confronted with the following error(s):

Title: Warning Non-Secure Mode
Component | Mode
Server Not Secure
Repository Not Secure

When I go to Device Manager, Right Click, Find Devices, Choose my subnet, click OK. I get the following box:

Title: Device Discovery Progress
Connect Timeout: N/A
Est. Needed Time: N/A Est. Actual Time: N/A
HTTP discovery attempt failed. Unable to contact Web service.

Device Manager never discovers any Wyse device connected to my network. I have no idea what further steps to take.

Any advice/help into this matter would be greatly appreciated - I am stressed trying to learn as I go.

Has anyone ever contacted you or have you found a work around for your issue? I am asking because I have the same issue.

Which version of Windows Server are you installing it on?  Might want to check the pre-install Windows Server requirements before installing WDM.
