"Change Device Information" not working

Hi,
I am Running WDM 5.0 Workgroup an have D90D7 and C90LEW devices
I have put the latest firmware on some C90LEW devices so that they are now recognised in WDM.
following this I pushed the BootAgentUpgradeWES to these devices via package distribution wizard.
I have successfully saved device images and pushed these to other devices.
I have done all these complex tasks via WDM but for some reason if I try simple commands (i.e. change device information, send message) to any device within WDM it just pauses for 10 seconds and nothing happens? i get a queue of "Real time commands" that just never run?

Can anyone shed any light on this and what i might need to do?
