windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file

How should it look like?

Mine looks really wrong.

Thanks for the information. I renamed the hosts to hosts.old. didn't see any new hosts file created so far. The good news is,

I can log into my system very fast!

I can enter safe mode now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than the comment lines, it should normally have only a single entry:

127.0.0.1 localhost


You can rename the file to hosts.old and Windows will recreate a clean copy at the next reboot. But do stay in the thread you have on the virus board, rather than a new thread here.
