Why do some websites load slower on Dell laptops compared to others?
I’ve been noticing something odd on my Dell laptop and wanted to see if others are experiencing the same thing.
Some websites (especially content-heavy ones) seem to load noticeably slower on my Dell system compared to other devices on the same network. This includes slower initial load, delayed images, and sometimes lag when scrolling.
A few things I’ve already checked:
Internet connection is stable
Tried different browsers (Chrome/Edge)
Cleared cache and disabled extensions
System performance seems normal otherwise
Still, the issue persists on certain sites but not all, which makes me think it could be something specific like:
Dell power management settings
Network adapter drivers
Browser optimization on Dell systems
Or even how some websites are built/rendered
Has anyone else faced this on Dell laptops?
If yes, what was the root cause in your case?
I can share a couple of example sites if that helps in diagnosing.

It could be related to Dell power/performance settings (like “Optimized” mode throttling CPU), outdated network drivers, or even hardware acceleration issues in the browser. You might try switching to “High Performance” mode, updating network/graphics drivers, and toggling hardware acceleration in your browser to see if it improves.
Also, could you share any example URL where this happens? That would help pinpoint the cause more accurately.

Thanks, I’ll try those fixes.
Here’s one example where I’m seeing the issue:
<Link was broken. DELL-Admin>
It loads slower and feels laggy when scrolling on my Dell, but it works fine on other devices. Let me know what you think.

Slow website loading can result from outdated network drivers, power-saving settings, DNS issues, browser hardware acceleration, or background Dell software.
