Universal dock D6000 station freezing, glitching and stuttering with mouse + keyboard
Hello,
I have a D6000 dock connect to a Dell XPS laptop, 1x 4K monitor, 1x 2K monitor, Ethernet, printer via usb, mouse and keyboard via usb.
I have the mouse and keyboard connected into the dock via the USB connections in the back near the displayport inputs. It seems to be only 1 USB port that is causing the errors as it occurs on both the mouse and keyboard when plugged into that one. The 2 USB ports in the front also exhibit this issue.
The keyboard freezes occurs every 5-10s and when typing it would frequently cause something similar to this: "Exammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmple" where it would freeze on the 'm' input for a second and cant take it off.
The mouse freeze occurs every 5-10s and it would just freeze the mouse in place for a second.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you !

For me the issue has been solved. It came down to two suggestions by superuserforum users:
In BIOS, under Performance, disable C-States Control.
This option enables or disables additional processor sleep states.
The forum poster mentioned that this may incur higher power usage and temperatures.
Also in BIOS, under System Configuration > Thunderbolt Auto-Switch, disable Auto Switch. Click 'Apply', then check Native Enumeration.
This option configures the method used by the Thunderbolt controller to perform PCIe device enumeration.
I am not sure if only one of these changes solved the issue, or if both were required.
