U2724DE, DDPM, Windows 11 serious memory/cpu leak
Hello,
Recently i bought new dell U2724DE monitors, i downloaded the DDM 2 and everything was working well. i discovered on win11 on work pc i have another different DDPM software from dell, so i downloaded it, then it prompted me i can update the firmware of the monitors, so i did it, the firmware update was working for 3 hours and my computer was lagging as <Profanity is never allowed. DELL-Admin> the whole time, it was very strange, after the update, i tried to use the computer normally, but i get the micro lags of everything when i start to move mouse around. I'm on fresh win11, 16gb ram, my system is not overwhelmed by nothing, if i close your application everything works normally, problem is i need your application to switch computers with KVM.
There is a proof:
If i start to move cursor, my cpu load is spiking:
As you can see, on the graph, i moved my mouse three times, after every move i stop to move anything on my computer. As well you can see that load for CPU is increasing on your app when someone is using mouse.
The lag as well comes when i open the app by hand. Micro freezes every-time.
DDPM App version: 2.0.1.16
Windows 11 is latest one, upgraded yesterday
Can you add option to disable all features, except KVM?
When i stop your dell services, my computer is working like a charm, there is not a single problem with my computer when your application is turned off ...
Is there a way to switch KVM without your application? I dont wanna to have laggy computer, because you dont have any quality assurance testing team.
Please raise this to your dev team as high priority as this is affecting a lot of people with your monitors, without your app you cannot use your monitors fully as intended.
Cheers.
Sined.

See the workaround in = FAQ Windows OS DDM and DDPM
If you have issues with Windows OS DDPM, the current workaround is to uninstall it for now.
* Open Windows 11 --> Settings --> Apps & Features
* Uninstall Windows OS DDPM (Dell Display and Peripheral Manager)
* If listed, uninstall Dell Core Services
* Restart the PC when done
* Install Windows OS DDM (Dell Display Manager) 2.3.2.23
* Restart the PC when done
* Install Windows OS DPM (Dell Peripheral Manager) 1.7.7
* Restart the PC when done

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U2724DE Service Tag and your troubleshooting with them.

The problem seems to persist, even with version 2.0.2.11. It's a real shame. It doesn't seem to be a minor issue. My CPU is constantly running at about 2 to 10% performance, and my mouse is also lagging. Only uninstalling it helps. DELL G3223Q and DELL U2722DE as monitor configuration.
Dell Display Manager 2.3.2.23 can not be installed, it says a newer Version is installed. But it dos not.
Dell Peripheral Manager) 1.7.7 are installed correctly.

@ChrisDannen yeah, its big issue, i created the ticket, it was open for more than a month, zero relevant response, and then they closed my ticket without any feedback or anything, i assume they cannot solve it

DDPM installs a service on Windows called Dell TechHub. Disabling/stopping it "solves" the problem, but you won't be able to use DDPM as it depends on this service. I still have no idea how to fix this issue. DDPM is a complete garbage. It works fine on Windows 10, but fails miserably on Windows 11.

Huh, I have the same problem as this. Sometimes when coming back from suspend, Dell display manager will simply wreck my computer performance. Seems it has been going on as an issue for folks a while.
