Trouble Accessing Dell.com on Windows 7: Need Compatibility Advice

Dear Dell Support,

I am currently using a Windows 7 system and trying to access my website (https://www.dell.com/), but it isn’t loading properly. I’ve checked my internet connection and browser settings, but the issue persists. I understand that Windows 7 is an older operating system and may not be fully supported anymore.

Could you kindly let me know which version of Windows would be most compatible with your website for a seamless browsing experience? I’d also appreciate it if you could suggest any specific browsers or settings that might help improve compatibility.

Additionally, if there are any updates or patches that could fix this issue without upgrading my operating system, please let me know. I want to ensure I can explore your website smoothly to view products and services.

Thank you in advance

Windows 7 just doesn't support the https that any website that's legitimate in 2024 will use, period.  It leaves you a sitting duck for attacks, because it has had no security updates in almost five years.  And most modern browsers no longer support Windows 7.

The oldest Windows OS that still has current security support is Windows 10 -- everything older is end of life.  It's time to retire any hardware that won't run Windows 10 (and in another year, Windows 10 will begin its ride into the sunset).

There are also versions of Linux that will run (with current security support) on hardware that isn't a good candidate for Windows 10 or 11.

While I agree with the excellent post above, I do suggest trying a coupla things ...

Test out the DuckDuckGo and Brave browsers, you may get lucky.
