SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools Disk and CPU usage on Windows 11

Problem with dell SupportAssist Remediation Service. This application uses all the resources (disk and CPU) of the PC (Dell G3 3590) since the update to Windows 11. Uninstalling the SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools application fixes the problem. What is the solution to get the functions of the Remediation Service?

Problem with dell SupportAssist Remediation Service. This application uses all of the computer's hardware resources since switching to Windows 11.

The problem is now fixed by reinstalling Windows 11 from an iso version downloaded from Microsoft's website to an USB key. Windows Setup recreated the partitions EFI, OS and WINRETOOLS.

Reinstall SupportAssist which will reinstall Dell drivers and applications, including Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery Tool correctly. SupportAssist recreated the DELLSUPPORT partition.

Enable Enable System Repair Tool in the SupportAssist settings. I chose 18 GB (maximun) for the disk space reserved for backing up files.

SupportAssist Remediation Service now works perfectly on Windows 11.

Problem with dell SupportAssist Remediation Service. This application uses all of the computer's hardware resources since switching to Windows 11.

Temporary Actions taken :

  1. The SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools application has been uninstalled.
  2. SupportSupport / Settings / System repair disabled.
  3. SupportAssist / Installation of SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools denied.
  4. Windows / System Protection (restore point) is enabled.
  5. Waiting for a solution from Dell.

The computer is now very fast.
