service pack 2

i am having trouble with this service pack 2. when im on a site and click to veiw a page all the sudden it clicks off the enrire site. i cannot view certain pages.it completly takes internet explorer off the screen as if i wasnt connected to the internet. what is going on ? how do i fix this ? does anyone have a clue ? im stil new at computer so i dont really understand much . can someone please help me ? before i loose it !!!!!!!!:smileymad: help me please !!!!!

Does this take place on any site(s) in particular?  If so, what are they?  Do you get any error messages or alerts when this takes place?

no certain site. and i always get internet explorer has incountered a problem and needs to close.i took the service pack off but i still get the error messages at times. i use internet explorer.i have tried to add adaware to my computer and when i try to download that i get internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. i get this all the time.if you could help i would greatly appreciate it.
