Record Internet Audio in Windows 10

Dell XPS 8940 with Dell P2418HZm monitor connected via DP (Display Port)

Audio is apparently directed to the speakers in the monitor. I would like to record Internet audio for replay at a later time.  Any suggestions on how I might accomplish this recording utilizing the Win 10 Operating System?

Hey Ron:

Went to AppGeeker and they had an offer I could not refuse.  Thanks you so much for the info.

Have you looked at AppGeeker Screen Recorder or Audacity (free) software?

Read this for some info about them...

I have tried both VLC and Win 10 Voice Recorder and in both cases the file is blank.  Appreciate the info on AppGeeker and will look into that application.

BTW: When you used Windows Voice Recorder or VLC, were you using an external microphone to record sound. IIRC, neither will capture "internal" sound, and require an external microphone to record sound coming from the speakers.

If you already tried an external mic, did you set the Input device?

And then set the Microphone Privacy screen:

And last, XPS 8930 uses Waves MaxxAudio Pro as the sound controller software. So you need to make sure Waves is loading by default at every boot. Then you have to open the Waves control panel and go to its Voice screen to move slider to turn it on, Then unmute the mic and configure the input volume:

EDIT: And one more thingy...If you're trying to record audio from a Zoom meeting, have you tried using Zoom's own built-in Record option which will save the video and audio?

Glad you found a solution.

You can ignore all the other stuff I posted about using a microphone, before I saw your last post....
