Mobile Plans App Support 27FEB2026
The company I work for we utilize cellular laptops. Typically set them up via eSIM on recommendation from our Verizon rep. Today as I was going through the normal motions, I noted this at the top. Are there plans from Dell to create their own Mobile Plans app? Don't foresee cellular carriers creating an app. Telling us to use SIM cards from here on out.

Updating this Post as we are now past the Mobile Plans end date. I cannot speak for other cellular providers as we use Verizon. Typically, I purchase eSIM accounts ahead of setting up the computer. Here are the steps for setting up the eSIM cellular now.
- First you need to get to the eSIM profiles page. (Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > eSIM profiles)
- Click on Add Profile at the top. A pop-up will appear. I chose - Search for available profiles. Click Next.
- At this point it searched and found a profile I already purchased. Click Yes to use said profile.
- After the Downloading and installation of profile completes - Click Continue and Close on the pop-up
- Now you should see a profile on the screen. Click on that - then click Use. Click Yes to continue.
- This step is a coin toss. On three out of four computers I worked on, and after 30 seconds a pop-up appeared. Stating it was configuring the mobile broadband. I waited until it completed.
- Once it finished, I went back to the Network & internet > Cellular page. Had to change the option from SIM to eSIM. Again, waited about 15 seconds. The computer was now connected to cellular data.
- The one computer I did not get the configuring mobile broadband pop-up. I waited a full minute. I clicked back to the Network & internet > Cellular page. It was connected via eSIM. No need to change anything else.
Hopefully this helps anyone that ran into this issue.

It looks like this is Verizon-specific -- not specific to Dell, so they are your point of contact.

@ejn63 If you notice the first three words - Mobile Plans app. That affects all cellular network providers. Regardless of whether a person utilizes Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. For sake of argument, I started the search again. As you can see below:

If so, it sounds like that's going away and you'll need to go through the service provider for the connection.
