Latitude 5580, no Windows 11 compatibility from Dell?

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the lack of Windows 11 support for the Dell Latitude 5580, despite its high-performance specifications and compatibility potential.

My system is equipped with:

  • Intel Core i7-7820HQ (2.9 GHz base clock, up to 3.9 GHz Turbo Boost, 4 cores, 8 threads), officially supported by Microsoft for Windows 11.
  • 24 GB of DDR4 RAM, far exceeding Windows 11's minimum requirements.
  • 512 GB NVMe SSD, delivering fast boot times and reliable storage.
  • Intel HD Graphics 630, supporting DirectX 12 and WDDM 2.x, with optional NVIDIA GeForce 940MX (4 GB VRAM) for advanced graphical capabilities.
  • TPM 2.0, UEFI firmware, and Secure Boot, fully meeting modern security standards.
  • Robust connectivity options, including USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, and an SD card reader, ensuring seamless operation with peripherals.

Despite meeting or exceeding all hardware and security requirements, the Latitude 5580 is held back solely by the absence of DCH drivers and necessary BIOS/firmware optimizations. As a professional-grade laptop, the 5580 is built for durability and performance, and it deserves continued support for newer operating systems like Windows 11.

I kindly request that Dell prioritize releasing updated drivers and firmware to allow this capable device to fully utilize Windows 11. This update would significantly benefit many users and demonstrate Dell's commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainability by extending the life cycle of its products.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Dell should make DCH drivers for this model and add win11 support  I hope to see a positive resolution soon.
