Internet Explorer Hijack

I have a new Dell E510 and had a problem with not being able to change the home page in Internet Explorer. I searched the forum and learned how to change it in the Registry. However I could not edit the Registry and Spybot S&D wouldn't work properly unless I was in Safe Boot Mode, possibly other things also. To make a long story short I shut down Zone Alarm and everything worked properly. So try shutting down Zone Alarm, anti-virus, and other add-on programs if you are having odd problems.

Zone Alarm has a feature that protects you from spyware that changes your home page without your permission. You can select this or turn it off in Options, but when it's selected, ZA will ask "do you really want to change homepage?" before it allows the change. It's really a good thing.
