Inspiron 3501, Windows 11

Inspiron 3501

Inspiron 3501

I have a Dell Inspiron 3501 laptop with warranty till June 16, 2023. From my laptop the sound was not clear when playing audio and videos both online and offline. The sound was clear when connected to the JBL Go3 external speaker. However, no sound came from the headset when it was connected. Then I registered a complaint at the online Dell service center on September 8, 2022. Initially, my laptop was running on Windows OS 10. Later I upgraded to Windows OS 11 as per Dell's notification last year. So to rectify the noise issue, I changed back to Windows OS 10 according to the online Dell service representative's instructions. Now the sound is clear when connected to the headset and external speaker. However, the sound is not clear when playing audio and videos directly on the laptop both offline and online.
Then on August 23, 2022, an official Dell service agent came to my house and replaced the speaker, and now the problem is solved.

My suspicion is that OS 11 has been changed back to OS 10. Can this system never be upgraded to OS 11 or other new updates? Please reply to this.

 RoniyaBaby,

You can upgrade the computer to Windows 11.  Once you have Windows 11 installed you can click here to download and install the Windows 11 Drivers.

@DELL-Jesse L is spot on with the upgrade to Windows 11 information. Since you already updated to Windows 11 once you may not see the Windows 11 update prompt but can update using one of the options here at the MS site. The first is the Installation Assistant which is the same as running the update. The second choice is the media creation tool which will create a bootable Windows 11 installation flash drive.
