Hi

Hope this helps...

Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.

Some times during the install process a screen appears asking to connect to your network, you can opt for I dont have an internet connection and proceed from there.

Also there then is an option for a Local Account not requiring your MS details (I have used SHIFT + F10 to initiate the Local Account) and subsequently BitLocker may not be set.

We really need more details, pictures of the screens that cause problems.

If in doubt please ask.

OOBEREGION Error Meaning

The OOBEREGION error is an issue that occurs during the initial setup phase of Windows 10, known as the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE).

This phase is responsible for configuring essential parameters such as language, region, and keyboard before the user accesses the desktop. When this error appears, it indicates that the operating system has not been able to correctly recognize the settings of the selected region.

This error can be caused by problems with the installation files, hardware incompatibilities, or certain incorrect BIOS settings.  To resolve the issue, users can access the command prompt from the error screen and run specific commands to force the configuration.

Steps to fix the OOBEREGION error include:

  • Pressing Shift + F10 (or Shift+Fn+F10 on some laptops) to open the CMD terminal

  • Changing the region settings during installation by selecting a different region, such as English (World) or English (European), and clicking Skip if the installation fails.

  • Reinstalling Windows on another computer and then reconnecting the drive to its original computer, ensuring that the BIOS settings (Legacy or UEFI) are the same on both computers.

If these solutions do not work, it may be necessary to activate the built-in administrator account and create a new local user to skip the OOBE process.
