Inspiron 15 3520, hibernating instead of sleeping when lid is closed, asking for bitlocker recovery key instead of waking

Just recently, I've been having trouble with my computer hibernating instead of sleeping when I close the lid. Now, when I raise the lid, it's also asking for a bitlocker recovery key. The only way to get it to go away is to do a hard reset (and then it starts as normal, though all my documents are gone.)

I suspect these two issues are related? I'm now afraid to close my laptop lid. I've checked ALL settings, and nothing is set to hibernate anywhere. It's been having the hibernation issue for about a week, but the bitlocker thing started just today when I tried to wake it up.
