Inspiron 13 5310, cannot upgrade to Windows 11

The processor clock speed is the only requirement that this laptop doesn't meet. However the processor model, Intel i3-1125G4, is on the support list for Windows 11. The processor is recognized as "11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1125G4 @ 2.00GHz 883 MHz" in Windows 10, while that said "883MHz" is this CPU's TDP-down Frequency. I have no idea why Windows would compare a TDP-down Frequency with Windows 11 requirement. I don't know whose fault this is, Microsoft, Intel or Dell.

Dell released latest BIOS update on Nov.3. With this version 2.4.0 BIOS, the CPU clock speed is recognized as 1.19GHz in Windows rather than 0.9GHz. It's OK to upgrade to Windows 11 now.

I see a lot of people encountering different issues: bugs crashes bricked freezes, ...

You are not the only who has experienced this problem and it is MS and not Dell that is causing the error. This web page should help. And this page from MS as well. The media creation tool can be found on this page and use the second option on the page.

To Quote:

"Microsoft spokespeople have today clarified that users who choose to manually upgrade or clean install Windows 11 this fall using ISO media or the Media Creation Tool will not be hard blocked based on the CPU generation requirements as laid out by Microsoft's official requirements list."
