I can't get Windows 10 working on Dell Desktop
I have two Dell PC's running Windows 10 OS and both of them have their own Windows 10 product key.
Here is the story:
1) A few years ago, my 1st Dell desktop PC with Windows 10 got hacked. The screen was completely black, nothing worked anymore.
2) Since I need my PC for everyday work, I could not invest time in restoring the 1st Dell Desktop PC, so I bought a 2nd Desktop PC with Windows 10 from Dell.
3) During my vacation, I finally had some time and "restored" my 1st Dell Desktop PC with Windows 10.
4) I was able to download Windows 10 for that 1rst Dell computer. It was no longer a black hole.
5) But I could not do much with it because it would only open in Safe Mode.
6) After watching numerous videos on YouTube on how to get out of Safe Mode, it still didn't work to give me the regular Windows 10 interface, but stayed in Safe Mode.
7) The Windows 10 version that I downloaded from the Microsoft website asks me to activate my 1st Dell desktop PC with Windows 10.
8) This version of Windows 10 won't accept my product key number (that I entered correctly that came with my 1st Dell desktop PC, but I need this computer to work).
9) I am getting a message that the activation servers are not working right now and they may activate my Windows 10 later (but just maybe) and provided me with this code: (OX 80072ee7), whatever that means.
10) Below this message, they told me that I can also buy a new product key from the Microsoft Store.
I already bought two product keys, for heavens' sake. I can't afford another product key. How about some service for a change?
So what do we do now? How can I restore my 1st PC?
Please advise
