How to check my Dell desktop for TPM 2.0?
On the instructional video how to check my Dell desktop for TPM 2.0, I got to the point where it says expand security device. What does expand mean, and how do I do that?

Hi
Dunno.
To check for TPM 2.0 on your PC, you can use several methods. Here are the most straightforward ones:
Using the TPM Management Console
Press
Windows Key + R
to open the Run dialog.Type
tpm.msc
and press Enter. If a TPM is present and enabled, you will see a status message saying "The TPM is ready for use."
Check under "TPM Manufacturer Information" for the "Specification Version" to confirm if it's 2.0.
Using the Windows Security App
Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Device Security.
Look for the "Security processor" section.
Click on "Security processor details" and verify the "Specification version" is 2.0.
Using Device Manager
Press
Windows Key + X
and select Device Manager.Expand the "Security devices" category.
Look for "Trusted Platform Module" with the version number.
If the TPM is not found or disabled, you may need to enable it in the BIOS/UEFI settings of your PC. Most modern PCs have TPM 2.0 built-in but it might be disabled by default.
These checks are important especially for Windows 11 compatibility since TPM 2.0 is a minimum requirement.

Hi Judith, "expand" just means to click the small arrow next to "Security Devices" so it shows more details underneath. Once you click it, you should see if TPM 2.0 is listed there. Hope that helps!
