1. Windows 7 is unsupported and insecure. It does not receive security patches, so it should no longer be used on a PC connected to the Internet. I suggest that you update to Windows 10.

Do the free upgrade to Windows 10: https://www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how-you-can-still-get-a-free-windows-10-upgrade/

After upgrading, check to see if Windows 10 is activated in Settings | Activation. If it is, then you can perform a clean install of Windows 10 and it should activate automatically.

2. Under Windows 10, your webcam drivers will likely be installed by Windows Update. I've installed Windows 10 on laptops older than yours, and I did not need to find webcam drivers because Windows 10 provided them automatically.

3. If your webcam doesn't work after installing Windows 10 and running Windows Update (and checking in options for driver updates), look in in Device Manager under Imaging devices or Cameras to see if a device is listed there. If needed, you can right-click the device and under the Details tab you can find Hardware IDs that you can search for to help to identify the device.

4. Find the manufacturer name of your webcam. If you don't know, tools like Speccy or Belarc Advisor may be able to identify it. You may find drivers on the manufacturer's web site.

Some webcams are "plug and play" models which are automatically recognized by your computer and don't require the use of a driver. Other models need a driver to be installed first before you are able to use the webcam. Unfortunately, webcam drivers are sometimes easy to misplace.
