Dell Media Direct 2.0

I have a problem getting Dell Media Direct 2.0.  I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 with the Intel Celeron "M" Processor.  I recently had a virus on my computer, so I reinstalled XP Home with SP2.  I am trying to use my DVD player, and it is unable to read the DVD in my dvd-rom.  I did a quick search on support.dell.com and it said that I needed to get "dell media direct 2.0".  I went to support.dell.com and the only version they have available is 1.0.  How would I be able to get 2.0 so I can start watching DVD's on my laptop?  If, I need to download something, it wouldn't be a problem, I have high-speed internet.
