Dell Latitude E6410 Forces restart when installing Windows 7
Im trying to install windows 7 onto a new harddrive, when the computer boots to the DVD drive to start the installation, it (appears to) load the setup files properly, but when it displays the text saying "Starting Windows" the screen goes blank and the computer goes to the POST screen. I've tried multiple harddrives and both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7.
Any ideas on what is causing this?

Fixed the problem, swapped out a stick of RAM and it worked fine, must've been faulty or too much for the system to handle.

You must select Custom install at the first screen after booting to the disk so the hard drive can be selected and then formatted by the installer. The hard drive is blank so running the installer without selecting custom install doesn't work.

Go to the Search tool in your version of Windows, type sysdm.cpl , and select the program of the same name.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery (as opposed to the dialog box's other two Settings buttons).
Uncheck Automatically restart.
Hope this might work otherwise check Dell Latitude E6410 Manual for help.
