Dell installed apps not showing

We have just bought new Dell PC's for use in our school.

When I log in as a local user or a domain administrator to the PC's, all of the dell installed apps show in the Start Menu.

However, when I log in as any other domain user, apps like Word and Excel are on the start menu but none of the Dell apps are there, including the Cyberlink apps.... which means I cannot play DVD's or run Dell Support Assist or anything like that.

Does anyone have any idea why they are not there? As far as I can tell there are no group policies that would stop them from appearing.

Possible reasons for install apps not showing. Outdated windows could be the reason, update your apps, scan for virus and last run the troubleshooter. Thanks

The Dell apps may not be appearing on the start menu when logging in as other domain users due to the user profile not having the necessary permissions to access or display the apps, and adding the apps to the start menu manually or modifying the user profile permissions may help resolve the issue.

  • Right click on the empty space of the Start Screen.
  • Click on the option “All apps” from the app bar that has popped up from the bottom of the screen.
  • This will show you all the apps that are currently installed on the computer.
  • Check if the missing apps are listed in the “All apps” menu.
  • If they are present, then you may pin them to the Start Screen, by right clicking on the app tile and selecting the option “Pin to start”.
