Dell display manager kvm not working

Hi everyone,

I've got two Dell monitors, a p2723d and a u2722d. Both are supported by the Dell display manager and I want to use that to switch the monitors between my two computers. 

I have connected the upstream cable to my Win 11 along with a DP cable, and to the Win 10 I connect with hdmi. I test this at first only with the p2723d monitor where i have my mouse and keyboard connected. 

But the mouse and keyboard are only working on the w11 computer. When I switch to the hdmi output they do not work. 

I have installed the exact same version on both computers. Maybe it is worth mentioning also that I do not see any usb or kvm menu in the ddm options (I installed ddm with kvm using the standard options on both computers). 

Am i doing something wrong or am I misunderstanding how ddm works? I thought it would be easy to switch monitors between the computers and keep using the same mouse and keyboard.
