Can't boot my Dell G15 laptop

Earlier this week my laptop was infected with trojan spyware virus which I had to reset my laptop.

After the reset, I proceeded to delete a Manifest files WinSxS because I feared it was a virus installed by the hacker. After that I tried to restart my PC but it can't boot.

Please help resolve the issues immediately.

The best way to repair an infected system drive is completely wipe clean the drive of all its partitions and reinstalling the operating system (Windows).

Download Microsoft Media Creation Tool to create an installer USB.  You can access BIOS settings and activate the Dell Data Wipe function to clean your system boot drive before performing Windows installation.  Access Dell support site to download and install your system chipset driver, Intel ME driver.  Then, running Windows updates to install all remaining driver.

Hi

In addition to the excellent answer above, I would like to add something a little more complicated and complete.

I have extra security measure, having had occasion to use the Debian Linux installer, which offers at partition time an overwrite of the deleted partitions/free-space as an extra safety measure.

Because it runs from a USB you can bail out after purging the drive, and not creating any partitions.

Pull out the USB and power off.  Let windows then create what it wishes on it's own installation.
