Can I upgrade my Dell XPS 8300 to Windows 11? It has been upgraded. See below.

Current software has been Windows 10 since 2022 when the upgrades were done.

Device Name DESKTOP-G5OKDF3
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz   3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB DDR3
Storage 932 GB SSD Samsung SSD 870 EVO 1TB
Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series (1011 MB)
Device ID 787BBF43-9815-40B1-855D-040A9970BDFA
Product ID 00326-10000-00000-AA564
System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

If it cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 in its current configuration, can the PC be upgraded so it can be? The PC runs very well and fast.

Thank you in advance for your detailed feedback.

Hi

Try researching the Rufus website.

It suggests you should be able to.

The system cannot be upgraded to officially support Windows 11, and any upgrades are so extensive that you're better off with a new system.

That doesn't mean you can't run windows 11 in unsupported mode -- you can, as long as you realize that it's likely not a long-term solution, as it is very likely Microsoft will cut off Windows 11 updates on unsupported hardware in the future.
