Not by default, no - the system will need a WWAN card compatible with your service provider's network. Before buying one, remove the base cover and ensure the antenna leads are present for it. It is common for systems that ship without a WWAN option to be missing the antenna leads. If the antenna isn't present it's difficult to impossible to retrofit without replacing the display assembly on most models.
