Bug with “Intel-Serial-IO-Driver_WNJ1N_WIN_30.100.2020.7_A01_03”

Installing “Intel-Serial-IO-Driver_WNJ1N_WIN_30.100.2020.7_A01_03” causes the systray icons to spread out.

Removing the driver puts them back as they should be.

I’ve encountered this on six new Latitude 5420 laptops, clean installs, Win 10 Pro, 21H1.

As per usual, Dell is a fail when it comes to driver support. After nearly two months of private interaction with whomever on Dell's end, there is no resolution to the issue, only a merry-go-round of nonsense, repeated questions that were already answered and we can't replicate it; I can, over and over again, without fail.

Unfortunately, not my first time with a driver issue and an endless run around. Dell needs to provide a way to submit a bug report, which is all I wanted to do, not get dragged into their usual useless nonsense regarding a bad driver. Thankfully there is a workaround for this one, and eventually I suspect Intel will drop an update that resolves it, since clearly Dell has no particular interest in getting it figured out.
