Brightness all the way up and wont go down.
My brightness is all the way up right now and it is not a "automatic brightness" issue. I can hit the buttons to make the brightness go up and down, and the icon shows its going up or down, but the screen brightness does not actually change.

Try updating your display drivers; outdated drivers can cause brightness control issues. Also, go to "Device Manager," find "Monitors," and uninstall the "Generic PnP Monitor." Restart your computer, and it should reinstall automatically. If that doesn't work, check your power plan settings under "Control Panel" > "Power Options" to ensure your brightness settings aren't overridden there.
