alienware command center

Personally, I have had problems with the command center using my keyboard and mouse.  But is Windows offering the update?  Have you gotten any pop-up notices an update or initial install is available?

I never seemed to have a problem installing it and both of my devices were hardwired.  Currently, it is not installed but if I wanted to uninstall it, I would go to the Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features section to do that.  I see they just had a new version on 5/19/22.

I suppose we could try checking the log.  Maybe it would point to some component causing the situation.

Yes, I had this popup window offering me update but after clicking OK nothing happened so I had to close it manually. I decided to uninstall it and reinstall it and I did. I clean registry, appdata folder along with program files with any alienware or dell leftovers but for some reason now installer stuck on like 20% ….

While I was waiting, I installed the AWCC so I could use my log to compare.  These are the entries in your log where the failure happened.  I have a Mup.xml file which has references to Dell but I do not know if it is the correct one.

I get the impression this may be related to the Intel Management Engine but just a guess.  Maybe someone at Dell will check this out.

The only thing I can suggest is to check your Intel Management Engine driver and see if it has an update.  

The mup.xml file I have on my system is inside the installer for that device.

In the .xml file are internet locations so it may even need to connect to some site to get the info it needs.

You might also try to download the update again.

Prior to running the Command center update, I had run the Component Application update, just in case it might make a difference.

There is no update for IMEI for my MB unfortunately. I`ve uninstalled the IMEI and tried install Alienware command center - same issue, nothing changed.

I have been going through the log some more and noticed a difference with mine.  The two entries below from your log show as 0 and no.  Mine show just the opposite as 1 and yes.  So how exactly did you uninstall the components since the log shows it did not find an uninstall key? 

Note:  The mup.xml file is included with the installer file.

@Lif3mau5   I cannot read your Toast log since it is in another language.

It looks like the OnBegin is the install starting up so there really isn't much of a log.

I suppose by standard method means you used the Programs and Features dialog to uninstall or the Apps uninstaller in settings?  If it did not go away in Programs and Features, maybe see if there was an option to repair.

If you extract the installer instead of running it, you can run the AWCCInstallationManager.exe directly.  Maybe that would help get past some obstacle.

Beyond this, I can't think of anything else to try except you might try some type of super uninstaller.  I haven't used one so I can't make any recommendations.

Just wonder if previous version will work? is it possible to download previous version of ACC from somewhere? Do Dell have archive or something ?

It`s gone from Programs and Features so I can`t uninstall with for example revo uninstaller because is not installed any more
