Alienware Area 51 R5 - Windows 11 Driver and BIOS

One thing i do not understand is according to dell website for testing Windows 11. Alienware Area 51 R5 is listed and tested. When you go to drivers page on dell support website, there is no driver for Windows 11.

I still have active warranty from dell. I am told by so call tech that Microsoft has not released drivers for Alienware Area 51 R5. Why would Microsoft release driver for your product? Aren't you the one manufacturing the computer. However “Dell” claim they tested so why not a driver is out? Aurora R8 drivers are out right away for windows 11.

In addition Bios hasn’t been released since date of 2019. Since then, there has been a lot of CVE.

one of the intel chipset driver for windows 10 has been removed on dell website. I was lucky that i kept a download copy. When asked by dell tech support to put it back, they said it comes with windows 10.”- how funny from the tech.

i personally fell that Dell is false claiming that windows 11 is tested, where i do not see drivers nor Bios update…

shame on you Dell for taking my 3K and giving me the run around, when asked for assistance!!!!

You appear frustrated, but it's not quite clear what you need assistance with.

What OS are you currently running, and are you experiencing any problems?

In general, drivers for Windows 10 will be compatible with Windows 11. If there are not required changes or fixes, then there is no sense in re-releasing the same driver for a name change.

Drivers and the interrelationships between manufacturers (Dell, Intel, etc.) and OS vendors (Windows, Linux, Mac) can be complicated and not obvious to users.
It may be that Intel has released updated  Windows 10 or 11 specific drivers for your chipset. If this is the case, then Dell may have pulled the older drivers they had initially provided because they are no longer relevant and the newer ones from Intel will be auto-installed via Windows Update.

I can't speak to the BIOS versions. But again, if you're not experiencing any issues, then I would just continue using your system.
