STOP the constant BIOS updates

Dell is trying to flash my BIOS for like the 4th time in less than a year.  This is insane.  My current Dell desktop is the first computer I haven't built myself in  more than 25 years, and with all those computers I MIGHT have flashed the BIOS once in their 3 -5 year useful lives.  BIOS updates are dangerous (don't dare tell me they aren't) and should only be done when absoutely necessary.  I see nothing that suggests any of these are.  If they are, the Dell needs to explain exactly why I need to accept the next one of these constant, intrusive, and risky procedures.

Stop it or give me a gosh darned good reason why not.
