VxRail supported on Standard Switch (vSS) vs dVS? + (VMware Licensing)
Hello's
Have a customer that is purchasing a VxRail and looking at the BYO licenses option. He currently has vSphere Enterprise licenses, and he did not upgrade during the "End of Availability for vsphere Enterprise window" . These edition of licensing does not support Distributed switching, which the VxRail out of the box is deployed with. What are the options here?
- Can VxRail networking run on Standard switching? All documentation suggests not. Would break NIOC policies and not sure VSAN on VxRail is supported on Standard switches.
- Have the customer upgrade to Enterprise+. Not sure about the customers willingness to do this due to costs etc.
Thanks and please advise,
Sky.

A duh! moment.
VxRail ships with vSAN enterprise which licenses the dVS. Moot question and can be ignored
