Vxrail code upgrade from 4.7.x to 7.0.3xx
Hi, I am planning to upgrade our vxrail cluster of 3 x e560 nodes from 4.7.526 to 7.0.320.
Can anyone tell me what the dependency on firmware upgrade is prior to performing a vxrail code upgrade?
Do we have any support matrix where it is clearly mentioned that from 4.7.526 to 7.0.320 requires an upgrade in Hops or can I upgrade without a firmware upgrade?
I have checked the support portal but I haven't found specific documents w.r.t dependency and prerequisite for upgrade.

Normally yes, unless you are using special firmware or hardware, such as GPU or NSX VIB or DPDK firmware.
You can see VxRail Support Matrix to check which version of software/firmware included in specific VxRail versions and what is included in vxrail upgrade or not.

Hello DELL-Sam L,
I appreciate your help, but I am still not getting the details. in terms of firmware upgrade
I have one question: all the required hardware firmware is part of the Code Bundle (VXRAIL_COMPOSITE-7.0.320-xxx_for_4.7.x.zip)?
Or do I need to perform a firmware upgrade separately?
If so, where do I get those details of the firmware version from VxRail code 4.7.526 to 7.0.320?
Thanks,
Pranav
