Greetings,

We are getting an error in step 17 of the E560F vxRail installation. I share the log file and screen display about the error. I would like your help.

Can you check if DNS and NTP server are working correctly?

and date/time of bios of all nodes must be set to UTC time, because ESXi only support UTC timezone

and RASR all the node and retry initial configuration with/without NTP setting

Hi

Can you tell, which version 4.5.x you're installing?

It might be a duplicate of G410 Build Failure at PSC firstboot - new install - had similar problem with my E56F.

Best Regards

Krzysztof

Hi,

I think minimum installable version is 4.5.210.

4.5.200 - vCenter is 6.5 EP5 7515524

4.5.210 - vCenter is 6.5 U2 8307201

https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/51124

Anything lower than vCenter Server 6.5 U1b (4.5.200 included? - correct me if I'm wrong) is below Update2, so I'd go with RASR to the newer version - 4.5.212-8993025 (or newest available).

I had a problem similar to this, re-image before initialization solved the problem.

hope this helps

Had exact the same issue one week ago with the E560F - 4 node setup. We had to reset all 4 nodes again and start from scratch.

The Dell engineer told us to keep during the vxrail initial installation the "NTP servers" input field empty.

We dit that and then the installation was able to build in a proper way without any issues after the build it was necessary that the Dell engineer took control of the installation to set the NTP server manually on each component of the installation.

I thought startup assistance from Dell was included with a VxRail setup so they should be able to help.

Hi Taylan,

if you think all ntp and dns setting is ok then You can check with "login on host and sync all 4 vms time with host"

2nd New release 4.5.218 is availabe, if its fresh installation can go with this.

We had exactly the same issue on a E560F on code 4.5.152 earlier this year

Good first experience. Fills me with fear about upgrading but there are others issues so we really need to do so!
