DELL VxRail 7.x upgrade path to VxRail 8.x

You can’t downgrade to older versions without approval from DellEMC. For upgrade paths with your current version, it is best to open a support case so that we can look into your specific case for your resolution.

We were told that downgrade although technically possible, is a complex process with too many risks.

Took us long enough to get this VxRay array to latest VxRail 7 build as it is.

Kindly check when will xRail 7.0.541 upgrade path to VxRail 8.x be released, so we can install VCF 5.

I have asked for an eta to see when it will be available.

Guys, I have the same problem, I can't upgrade from 7.0.541 to 8.0.xxxx, The composite files downloaded were useful for me.

I don’t have an eta as when this will be resolved. I have checked into the request and there is no update as of today.

Guys, yesterday I talk with VxRail expert and they don't create packages to downgrade, I have a session next friday with this case, I will give mi notes about the procedure if we can resolve.

RCA for this could be different VxRail versions, but is not clear.

Currently their is not a downgrade package. I am not seeing an eta for this as well.

I ask in session with DELL support, and they talk about no options to downgrade versions, we need to wait for a new upgrade from 7.0.541 to 8xx.

We are waiting for this new release.

Same boat here, needing to upgrade from 7.0.541 to 8.

I check Solve and 8.0.x Upgrade Paths document every day for upgrade from 7.0.541 to 8.0.x.

It would be nice if I could get on some email list that would notify me when new packages are published.
