Broadcom VMware Support and VXRail

Anyone know if VXRail customers also need to purchase support from VMWare as well?  We just got the quote back for our VxRail config, with new Broadcom pricing, for 80 processors and 72 TB VSan and it is $36,000 a year!  We have been using VXRail support for 4 years with no issues, but I am wondering if we need to also purchase VMWare support as well.   Thanks!

you can still purchase perpetual OEM vSphere/vSAN/vCenter license with VxRail at this time.

Support contracts for vSphere/vSAN/vCenter are entitled with VxRail Hardware because they are OEM license.
(Strictly speaking, it's not OEM, it's Embedded OEM.)

@DELL-Naoyuki K This has not been our experience so far. We have just piloted a deployment for a client with VxRail, now ready to go production and we cannot get licence for VMware or VSAN quoted, being told by or Dell rep that Dell cannot get approval for bring your own licences, or provide any license quote approval. We are under the gun to procure equipment for production deployment and this has thrown a major spanner in our way. It's left our architects and sales team scrambling to redesign for other solutions and all our lab testing for infrastructure virtualisation now has to be redone. Extremely frustrating.

Unfortunately, the situation is dynamic now. BYOS thing is not steady state today.
Please keep in touch with Dell Rep, not VMware Reps, this is because there are not in sync
