VxRail and new VMware/Broadcom Licensing
I am working through a HW refresh and close to purchasing VxRail Dynamic Apps On (PowerStore integration). I have existing VMware Enterprise Plus licenses I am bring to my solution. At the same time, I am going through a VMware renewal where VMware/Broadcom is "suggesting" I upgrade my entitlements to VMware Cloud Foundation, vs. my equivalent VMware vSphere Foundation (Enterprise Plus).
As it relates to bring your own license to VxRail and the 2 options I have, what is the minimum version I need to bring to VXrail to get the LCM features? Do I need VCF, or am I OK to license VVF (as its the tier that works for me)? Is it overkill to license VCF and use VxRail LCM? I do not use the VCF features.
Thank you.
