vWorkspace documentation tools

Hi Scott,

We don't have any tools available for this purpose, what sort of documentation are you looking to create. Would this be from an infrastructure perspective or more the client configuration settings

Hi David,

We need to document farms for internal reference and change control purposes. Also, some clients ask for detailed documentation. I would like to be able to document the configuration of clients, resources, servers, etc. Ideally, I would like to be able to export each node in the console so that the properties of each configured object are available as a HTML report or similar. This can then be handed to clients, used for quick internal reference or to record details before and after changes. It would also be useful if we need to quickly get the configuration of an existing farm setup by someone else.

Thanks for your reply, however we don't have any tools or method for documenting the farm configuration in this way for vWorkspace today. Your suggestion sounds like a good idea, I will raise this as an enhancement request for consideration in a future release.

We have created a product enahncement request for your suggestion. The enhancement ID is TFS 177885 and it will be worked upon by the development team to be included in a future release.
