vWorkspace and Windows 10 compatibility

Has anyone had a chance to try out the vWorkspace connector (we're running latest 8.5 code) with Windows 10 yet?  I've got users asking about it (big surprise) but I've been swamped and haven't had a chance to do anything beyond basic connectivity testing.  Aside from the install warning about the RDP version has anyone seen any problems?

Good question so we just installed 8.5 onto Windows 10 Preview. We did this by going to the WebAccess page and it asked to open it with the software store, which failed. Closing the software store you will then see the normal prompts to Run, which continues like normal. The install does complain about the version of RDP saying we need an update. Click OK on the message and the install continues and finishes like normal. We then clicked Retry on the WebAccess page and our WebAccess page loaded with our desktops and application which all worked fine. This was all done with the new Internet Explorer Edge.

That's good to know, however at this point our VPN won't support 10 because of NAP being removed so they can't get to vWorkspace anyway.  I realize the gateway option is available but decided against that for other reasons.  We may need to revisit depending on what happens. BYOD is our only real issue which makes the NAP much more important.

Hi Dragonator,

With the release last week of vWorkspace 8.6 we have limited support for Windows 10.

This includes as a connecting operating system (Connector):

OK we'd be interested to hear your feedback.

In case you haven't looked at our secure access service recently, it now scales to around 10,000 sessions on a single server and can be used to secure RDP traffic, web traffic and broker traffic all on a single IP & port. All our connectors can make use of it too.

Our customer is runnung 8.6 and is interested in running Windows 10 desktops. Can you elaborate what "limited support" means. What is currently (not) working?

I just upgraded my management workstation to Windows 10 . The 8.6 vworkspace console works, but after closing it, the process hangs, as can be seen  in taskmanager.

I'm running it fine in my environment without any issue and its faster than windows 8.1 Enterprise without any optimization :emotion-4:
