vWorkspace and Foglight Integration Not working

Hi There

When I click the Diagnostics and Monitoring Tab for any item (datacenter, vm's users) within vWorkspace I get the following error.

View not found: system:vdidiagnostics_vmware_consoleintegration.viewCIVMWQuickView

The actual Diagnostics and Monitoring tab itself works fine and opens my Foglight home page without issue ( I have foglight installed on a seperate VM)

vWorkspace version is 8.0.306 and Foglight is Foglight for Virtualization 7.1 trail verison.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Andrew,

Foglight for .Vvirtual Desktops (v5.6), which is now included with and integrated with vWorkspace and Foglight for Virtualization v7.x (VMware) are similar but different products.

So functionality (and URLs) supported in the one product don't work in the other. vWorkspace is hard-coded to work with Foglight for Virtual Desktops.

If you have current SA for vWorkspace, you are entitled to a free copy of Foglight for Virtual Desktops, which includes support for both Hyper-V and VMware hypervisor infrastructures plus monitoring of vWorkspace farm components.

Thanks Rick. That was indeed the problem I was trying to use an existing installation of Foglight for Virtualization rather than the vWorkspace integrated Foglight for Virtual Desktops. Andrew
