vworkplace 7.0 on Debian Wheezy 3.2.0-3-

I know it's an old version but it's supplied by Insynq as their linux client. I'm trying unsucessfully to install it from the vWorkspaceConnectorForLinux-7.0.0.012.bin file.

I'm running Debian 7 Wheezy with kernel 3.2.0-3-amd64.

It tries to build the USB sharing module and dies without generating the 'buildlog.txt' file. All it's build prerequisites are met, but it just won't build that module or do anything past that.

Can it be made to work or do I need to just demand an updated client version?

Does it ever make buildlog.txt? Where is it supposed to go?

It's not sending errors to stderr or any normal logs in /var/log that I can find. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

Thanks in advance.
