VAS client version

Hi There,

I would like to know if there is any option wherein we can know the Web-IT client version i.e, the VAS client version which is installed and currently being used on the end-user client machines (PC's). The reason we wanted to know is because it would not be possible for us (Administrators) to go and check manually on each client machine at the clients place as the clients are located far away (geographically). We wanted to find this option (if available) remotely itself, without interacting with the clients (end-users), probably from the vWorkspace farm itself or probably via a SQL query as we are on Version 7.1 MR1 of vWorkspace.

Also, we have checked the vWorkspace database but couldn't find the relevant table / column to fetch this information. Probably we are missing here something. Please let us know again.

Also, we are aware that we can push the latest version of the VAS client to the end users remotely so that it can be installed automatically in the background (without user's intervention). However, this is not our preferred option here.

Let me know if you need any further information in this regards.

Cheers,

Sam

We have been using vWorkspace from 6.0 version and hence different versions of the VAS clients probably exist on the end user client machines. Hence the need to know the version of each client installed and used.
