Using vWorkspace User Profile Management with Win7
I'm using vWorkspace User Profile Management and Group Policy Folder Redirection to manage the desktop settings in my Win7 VDI Lab. Below is a screenshot of the vWorkspace User Profile Management Settings I am using, and attached is the report of the GPO Settings to enable Folder Redirection.
These settings are allowing me to retain the settings for Microsoft Office, Acrobat Reader and the Windows Desktop, including things like icon layout, explorer preference... as well as the obvious things like the files saved to My Documents, Desktop...
I want to open a discussion on what others are doing?
What is working well?
What's not?
What settings are you capturing?
How large are your exported settings (kilobytes)?
What's your typical logon time?

Morning,
That looks like a good setup.
The only thing I'd be concerned about is that you're writing back Cookies.
Where this folder will be full of thousands of tiny files, it can take a while to copy.
Also, please double check but Cookies should be stored C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies
So your Redirection Policy will handle this and there is no point in duplicating work.
Thanks, Andrew
P.S Sorry if that sidetracks your discussion
