TS/RDS CAL question

Hi,

We currently use Windows 2003 TS Device CALs in our environment, vWorkspace 7.2 MR1/Windows 2003 R2 TS, as we have many more users than devices. Our vWorkspace environment has been configured to use User CALs in accordance to the documentation available for vWorkspace 7.1/7.2. This hasn't been an issue as the Terminal Services Licence Sever for 2003 doesn't actually track user CALs, as MS didn't have time in the windows 2003 code to incorporate it.

We are planning our upgrade to verison 7.6 and I face a new issue. As we'll be using W2K8R2 RDSH in future, along with our WK3R2 TS I'm a bit concerned that our lack of Use CALs will bite us when we roll out RDSH. As the new RDSH servers will need a new RDSH licence server. This will track user CALs and our lack of users CALs will be a problem.

Questions:

1.     What happens if we change the TS licensing mode to per device, will vWorkspace 7.2 MR1 continue to work correctly? In previous correspondence with support they've told me to stay on per user mode as this won't work. Can this be confirmed?

2.     I assume that if I stay on 2K3R2 TS servers the current suituation will be adhered to, i.e. if they point at a 2K3 TS licence server the User CAL part won't be tracked and I'll be okay... Can this be confirmed?

3.     With 2K8R2 RDSH I'll be in bother as I don't have User CALs.

4.     Does vWorkspace 7.6 have the ability to use Device CALs? Can I set the licencing model to per device, as I orginally intended to do? If not can I make a product feature request to enable this as a lot of insitutions are running in per device mode for the simple reasoning of many more users than devices.

Any thoughts, ideas, answers are always greatly apprieciated.
