Properly Log Off Microsoft Office on Exit

All,

Was trying out Microsoft Office on RDS which is managed by vWorkspace. I noticed that the session is in disconnected stated even after I choose File --> Exit. Is this a typical behaviour? I do understand that if I choose to use the "X", the session would be left in disconnected just not sure about choosing "Exit" option. That being said, if it is a typical behavious (staying in dc state), the next thing to configure is the GP to auto logoff after x amount of time right?
