Print-it universal printing

I am using vWorkspace 7.2 I have a client that has a Ricoh Copier\Printer setup for double sided printing and stapling. The client machine has a TCP\IP connection to that copier and has access to all those printing options locally.

When connected to a terminal session on 2008 R2 x64 servers using the Quset RDP client they don't have access to those options. the copier\printer is autocreated and they can print but only one sided and no staple option.

Should these options be available?

David,

These options (or printer attributes) are private to the local driver and are not redirected up into the universal printer within the remote session. We populate the system tray with a vWorkspace application called PNTRAY that allows the vWorkspace user to manage their connections, USB devices, and Universal Printing. The selection you are looking for is the APPLY ADDITIONAL PRINTER PROPERTIES checkbox. When this is checked in the system tray, the universal print job streams down to the vWorkspace client and then invokes the local print driver allowing the user to select those local private finishing attributes like dbl-side printing or staple functions, etc. See page 418 and 419 of the admin guide for graphics and additional info.
