Opening multiple instances of vWorkspace fails.
I'm pretty new to vWorkspace so pls be informative and gentle in your responses until I get up to speed, thanks.
I have a vWorkspace environment where the users cannot open multiple instances of any application from their vWorkspace landing page. Let me give you an example:
User JulianTest logs into vWorkspace and is presented with the vWorkspace landing page which has two icons "Production" & "Test". The user clicks on "Production" but wants to also open an instance of "Test", but when he clicks on "Test" he gets the error:
Remote desktop cannot connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:
....
....
....
If the user does the same thing except opens "Test" first then tries to open "Production" next, he gets the same error. Somehow, vWorkspace is not allowing more than one RDP session for any user. I tested the RDP connections from the user's workstation and I can open any number of RDP sessions to the various terminal servers (there are around 10 terminal servers in the farm!) so it's not an RDP thing.
Can anyone suggest how I can fix this?
Technical details:
User workstation OS: Windows7
Terminal Servers: Windows 2003
Broker servers: 2x Windows 2003
vWorkspace version: 7.5.304.547

I found the solution- new user workstations had the V7.5 client installed but we installed the V7.1 client which fixed the issue.

Hi JD
Are the applications full terminal server desktops or seamless applications published on the terminal servers?
Are the applications "test" and "production" published on completely different servers?
If you right click on the terminal servers in the vWorkspace console and goto Properties | Load Balancing is there anything set up there? Same for the applications themselves, if you open Managed Applications | right click | properties | Load Balancing - do you have anything set there?
Is this issue seen on the internal network as well as connecting from outside?
Do you have a secure gateway in place?
Do you know if you are using EOP Xtreme?
Thanks,Sam

I'm glad everything is working now. Just to let you know, we have more recent connectors available which may also fix the issue that you are experiencing.
For example, you can download the 8.5 one here
Thanks, Sam
